Sheriff clearly upholding law Diane Williams guest column about Sheriff John Hanlin is hard to understand, coming from an Umpqua Community College instructor. You would think she would understand that to follow the constitutional amendments is exactly what our good Sheriff John Hanlin and his staff are saying, and more importantly, doing. The Sheriff put it pretty simply, so as not to confuse anyone when he said, “I will not tolerate actions against citizens, that is all of us, that are deemed unconstitutional.” Thanks, Sheriff, for your position to uphold all the laws.
