Umpqua Valley Gymnastics will play host to the Anne Patterson Riverside Classic on Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Session times are as follows: 9 a.m. for Level 4, 12:30 p.m. for Levels 5 and 6 and 3:30 p.m. for Optionals (Levels 7 and up). Admission is $8 for adults, and $5 for seniors and kids.
Junior tennis tourney gets started today
The Umpqua Valley Tennis Center will be hosting a junior tournament this weekend that includes some of the best talent in Douglas County from ages 12-18.
The boys and girls “Champs” tournament (for advanced level players) was set to begin today at 3:30 p.m. Action will start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and run all day.

The Roseburg High Softball Clinic, for girls in grades 1-8, will be held March 2-3 at RHS.
Depending on the weather, the clinic will run on the Finlay Field turf outdoors or inside at Robertson Memorial Gym.
The first day will include an offensive and defensive clinic — hitting, bunting, baserunning and fielding — and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sign-ups begin at 9:30. The second day will involve a session for pitchers and catchers, running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost for either session is $40, or $60 for both. A camp T-shirt and lunch will be provided.
All players should bring tennis shoes/cleats, gloves, bats, helmets (if they have one) and water bottles. The clinic will be instructed by RHS varsity and junior varsity coaches and members of the softball team.

All Oakland High School students and staff alumni are invited to participate in the Oakland Alumni Basketball Tournament on March 22-23 at the Nut House.
Cost for players is $25 and includes a T-shirt. Registration forms must be received by Feb. 28. Late registration will be accepted after the cutoff date for $35 per player.
