Reneau held in high esteem
Like many of his other patients, I was shocked to read of the allegations lodged against Dr. Donald Reneau, as reported in the Feb. 21 edition of The News-Review.
I have been a patient of Dr. Reneau’s since September 2011. Never in my many visits have I seen Dr. Reneau treat anyone inappropriately. He treats his patients with the utmost respect and care.
While I have waited for my appointments, I’ve talked to many people, women and men, who hold him in high regard. Most, like me, he has helped tremendously. He is folksy, funny and cares about his patients. He does his best to set us at ease. He did give me a hug one day when I was feeling especially low.
That was comforting and a nice thing to do. Dr. Reneau also treats his staff with respect and it is obvious to me that they enjoy working with him.
I sincerely hope that the Chiropractic Board will talk to some of the many patients who don’t have allegations and complaints.
I am a retired journalist who has spent decades observing and writing about people from all walks of life. As a result, I do believe I am a good judge of character. I found Dr. Reneau to be a good family man, who often tells you about his many children and grandchildren. He also is a man totally dedicated to his profession.
