Letter: Dr. Reneau is trusted and appreciated

Reneau trusted, appreciated

As a longtime patient of Dr. Reneau’s, I’m outraged at the thought of people claiming he has been inappropriate. Due to the nature of my injury, I require a lot of help when in his office. I can say that on numerous occasions, he has had the opportunity to be handsy with me. I am very sensitive to inappropriate touching and even though he has had opportunities, it has never happened! He is always respectful, as he should be.

As a professional in his line of work for many years, he would have had to accidentally brush them while reaching to help stabilize them for there to have been an “oops.” I know people can do things that surprise us at times, but he just doesn’t have it in him. There are some pretty notable patrons, business owners, elderly, etc., who rely on Dr. Don for therapy.

I can only say that he is very high on my list of compassionate, honest, extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful doctors. He truly empathizes with his patients. We are all fortunate to have such a sincere doctor in our town, which we have come to trust, appreciate and respect. I support him and his family no matter what.

I feel for the women who got on this band wagon against him, because I’m sure it will come out in the end that they just got overly excited. What may have seemed inappropriate to these women may have been just out of their comfort zone, considering what they were being treated for. My heart goes out to them, but not to support them. Let us not allow anyone to damage Dr. Don’s business or reputation.

I believe in his quest for “health,” not “hurt.”
