Police log: Red Mustang starts fire in Glide field

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

6:13 a.m. — A semitruck pulling a double-trailer was losing metal pieces on Interstate 5 northbound near Milepost 120, Roseburg.

8:44 a.m. — Someone broke into a construction trailer overnight and took construction equipment in the 7600 block of Bullock Road, Oakland.

4:05 p.m. — A red Mustang ran through a fence, took down a fence and caught a field on fire in the area of Little River Road and Buckhorn Road, Glide. The fire was contained at a quarter acre by the Douglas Forest Protective Association.

7:57 p.m. — A campfire started a fire in a camp in the 1800 block of Southeast Mill Street, Roseburg.

8:45 p.m. — Gas cans were stolen from a garage in the 10000 block of Azalea Glen Road, Glendale.

8:58 p.m. —A small grass fire was started by a juvenile boy in the 600 block of Irving Drive, Myrtle Creek. The fire was put out by residents.

ACCIDENTS

6:38 p.m. — A white pickup spun out and went off the roadway on Interstate 5 northbound near Milepost 86, Azalea. Unknown injuries.

ARRESTS

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

Jessie J. Fritz, 24, no location listed, on suspicion of driving while suspended or revoked, driving under the influence of intoxicants and recklessly endangering another person.

Darrin Peter McHaffie, 39, of Yoncalla, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Myrtle Creek Police

Sean Michael Robello, 21, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of supplying contraband.
