POLICE LOG: Transients cited for drinking at parking garage

These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.

Tuesday

Roseburg Police

10:30 a.m. — Two transients were cited and released for drinking alcohol in public at the Roseburg Overpark parking garage in the 500 block of Rose Street.

Wednesday

Douglas County sheriff

3:32 a.m. — People were reportedly taking methamphetamine in the parking lot of a church in the 100 block of Park Street in Glide.

8:16 a.m. — A woman reported her red Toyota Corolla missing from the 10000 block of Azalea-Glen Road in Glendale. She told police her oxycodone was in the glove box, and she believed she was experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

11:38 a.m. — A white 1998 Dodge Durango was reported stolen from Tenmile. The owner had been mushroom picking Tuesday and left the car overnight because the keys were locked in the vehicle. It was gone when the owner returned for it.

2:24 p.m. — A chemical tanker train car was reported leaking fluid from its top and side while the train passed through the intersection of Eagle Valley and Boswell roads in Drain.

4:25 p.m. — A carpet was reported stolen from the living room of a home in the 3400 block of Northeast Douglas Avenue in Roseburg.

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

1:27 a.m. — A man was reported first sitting, then lying in the road at the intersection of Silverado Court and Rolling Hills Road in Roseburg. He did not appear to be injured.

ACCIDENTS

Tuesday

Roseburg Police

10:58 a.m. — A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a Jeep in the 1700 Block of Harvard Avenue in Roseburg.

Wednesday

Douglas County sheriff

1:36 p.m. — A truck and camper traveling north on Interstate 5 went off the roadway at Milepost 82 near Glendale. Unknown injuries.

ARRESTS

Wednesday

Douglas County sheriff

Leeann Marie Hershey, 40, of Oregon on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and parole violation.

William Conrad Neria, 25, of Phoenix, Ore., on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Jaman Yaphet Pierro, 20, of Oregon on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school and a warrant for second-degree theft.

Chaz James Gurule, 26, of Roseburg on suspicion of four counts of harassment.
