Look closer at no compromise
An Aug. 28 editorial was headlined, “Conservation groups allow no room for compromise.” It stated, “For special interest groups, there’s no advantage to second thoughts, hesitation or compromise.”
If one examines the characteristic method of the right-wing Republican members of the House, it appears that the “special interest groups,” i.e., conservation groups, are beholden to them for the strategy described of “no second thoughts, hesitation or compromise.”
Within the last year, has The News-Review ever questioned the use of this strategy by Republican legislators? If so, please refresh our memory.
