Police Log: Vehicle hits pole in Elkton

These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.



Douglas County sheriff

1:38 a.m. — A vehicle struck a power pole on Highway 38 and Brush Creek Road, Elkton. Travel lanes were not blocked, but there was a possible downed power line.

4:26 a.m. — A rock 3 feet in diameter from a slide was found in the middle of Hubbard Creek Road, Umpqua.

10:15 a.m. — Missing items from a 40-foot trailer with construction tools and equipment were reported in the 300 block of Helweg Road, Winston.

12:08 p.m. — Bicycle stolen from Seven Feathers Casino Resort, Canyonville.

1:09 p.m. — A man in the 200 block of Currier Avenue, Roseburg, reported a suspicious woman had knocked on his door and asked to check his gas meter. The man found it odd since he does not have gas. He also believed the same woman knocked on his door two years ago with a non-gas related issue.

5:08 p.m. — Woman reported her boyfriend stole her food stamp card, 3000 block of Porter Street, Roseburg.

6:51 p.m. — A report of a man, possibly intoxicated, who stole tip money in the 200 block of Pruner Road, Myrtle Creek.

8:16 p.m. — Man observed leaning over a bridge in the 5100 block of Garden Valley Road, Roseburg.

9:15 p.m. — Water gushing out of a hydrant in the 200 block of Hult Avenue, Dillard. Caller believed someone in a vehicle struck the hydrant, but she did not see or hear anything.

Justin Nicholas Felix, 23, of Roseburg, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for a parole violation.
