Letter: Elected and appointed officials work for the American people

Sebelius should be accountable

In a recent interview with ABC, Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was asked about some members of Congress wanting her to resign. Her response was that those were the people who were against ObamaCare from the beginning, and she said she does not work for “those people.” Really? Who does she work for?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it’s always been my understanding that all elected and appointed government officials work for all of the American people, and members of Congress represent the American people. So what I’d like to know is, who is Mrs. Sebelius referring to when she says “those people”?
