Police Log: Horses loose; bear sighted

Douglas County sheriff

1:40 a.m.— Four horses loose in the road in the 600 block of Callahan Road, Roseburg.

2:06 a.m. — Bear in a front yard in the 700 block of Upper Smith River Road, Drain.

6:54 a.m. — Goats loose again in the 400 block of Tunnel Road, Glendale.

10:37 a.m. — Car broken into overnight in the 100 block of Marshall Street, Glendale.

11:48 a.m. — Theft reported in the 600 block of Silver Butte Road, Riddle.

12:34 p.m. — Burglary reported in the 100 block of Belmont Avenue, Roseburg.

1:27 p.m. — Purse and laptop computer taken in burglary in the 14000 block of Tiller Trail Highway, Days Creek.

3:54 p.m. — Report of several subjects in a 1990s green Honda taking mail from several mailboxes in the area of Upper Cleveland Rapids Road, Garden Valley.

ARRESTS

A record of arrests was not available today from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
