Police looking offender suspected of targeting girls

Corrections officials are asking for help in finding an Oakland man who they say targets adolescent girls for sexual contact.

Paul Silas Stephenson, 26, is wanted for violating parole. He also is under investigation by the Sutherlin Police Department for allegations involving minors, according to corrections officials.

Stephenson contacts potential victims through websites to arrange meetings in person, officials said.

He targets girls aged 14- to 17-years-old and and may use force or coercion, officials warned.

Stephenson’s residence is in the 2300 block of Hogan Road in Oakland.

He is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Oregon State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision has issued a felony warrant for Stephenson’s arrest.

He was most recently arrested on suspicion of violating parole on May 16. He was released from Douglas County Jail on Aug. 12.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sutherlin police, 541-459-2211, or Douglas County emergency communications at 541-440-4471.
