Letter: Give back our hospitals, our doctors and our policy choices

Call to repeal ObamaCare

Boy, Cover Oregon is working well, almost as well as its big brother, ObamaCare! There are about 53,000 enrollees in Medicaid, but practically no one in Cover Oregon.

No wonder the director is taking a medical leave. With the headaches this disaster must be causing, he needs it.

I wonder if his insurance policy has been canceled, like the 150,000 policies in Oregon. And that’s policies, or about 300,000 to 450,000 Oregonians who have lost their insurance.

And where are Sen. Jeff Merkley and U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio? They’re pretty quiet. DeFazio told us repeatedly (like that other serial liar, President Obama) we could keep our policies, our doctors, and our hospitals.

Now we know those were lies. So if you don’t have a doctor or a hospital, what good is your ObamaCare insurance?

And will you actually have insurance starting January 1? With at least 25 percent of all applications incomplete or erroneous, you have to call in to see if you’re covered. Did you have to do that with your old insurance, your subpar, crappy policy you liked, that covered what you wanted, and that you could afford?

There’s a very simple solution to all this next year. Vote out of office any Democrat who voted for ObamaCare and replace them with a Republican who vows to repeal this law.

The Democrats again lie about Republicans not having plans to replace ObamaCare. How about Health Savings Accounts, being able to buy insurance across state lines, legislation to cover pre-existing conditions, tort reform for doctors, and buying your own insurance that you can take with you?

This train wreck will cost you and your family more, and for what you don’t want or need; so remove the liars and get Republicans who will protect your interests.
