Police Log: Horses running loose in Roseburg

These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.



Douglas County sheriff

8:12 a.m. —Three horses were running at large in the 2100 block of Jackie Avenue, Roseburg.

1:52 p.m. — People were trying to steal a car in the 100 block of Klimback Street, Myrtle Creek.

2:08 p.m. — Someone was racing up and down East Second Avenue and Park Street in a black Ford Ranger.

3:18 p.m. — A Toyota pickup was swerving all over the road and almost going into oncoming traffic on Highway 138 East near Milepost 7.

7:20 p.m. — A house was on fire in the 100 block of Willamina Lane, Winchester. Everyone got out of the house.

9:52 p.m. — Muscle therapy equipment was stolen from the 200 block of Bingo Road, Sutherlin.



Douglas County sheriff

7:02 a.m. —Three-car accident on Interstate 5 southbound near Milepost 129, Roseburg. One car reportedly almost jumped the center divider while another spun out and hit a car head-on. No injuries were reported.

1:44 p.m. — Single-vehicle accident in the area of Plat B Road and Nonpareil Road, Sutherlin. The woman was injured and holding her arm and her side.

10:12 p.m. — A vehicle spun out and hit the median on Interstate 5 northbound near Milepost 91, Canyonville. Unknown injuries.

Winston Police

Jon Alden Snawder, 46, no location available, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for second-degree disorderly conduct.
