Letter: Tim Freeman cares, listens and gets things done

Vote to elect Tim Freeman

I’m supporting Tim Freeman in the upcoming election for Douglas County commissioner.

I had the privilege of serving with Tim Freeman on the Roseburg City Council and Budget Committee. I was always impressed that he came prepared to the meetings, asked thoughtful questions and worked hard for real solutions to problems in our community.

Now as a state representative, Tim can be found coming to the capital prepared, asking good questions and representing the needs of our county.

Tim Freeman is an avid supporter for public safety and of our veterans. As a city councilor, when Tim saw a fire station falling apart and a police station that would flood periodically, he went right to work to rally support. It was directly through his leadership that Roseburg was able to develop the Public Safety Center. As a state representative, Tim led the fight on behalf of Douglas County veterans to get approval for a new veterans home on the VA campus and has been a strong advocate for responsible management of the O&C lands.

What I have appreciated most about Tim Freeman is that he takes the time to get to know the people and issues of our county. Tim really cares about Douglas County and works hard to represent our interests. As we move forward into an uncertain future with county finances, I want someone who cares, who listens, and most of all who has a proven track record of getting things done!

Please join me in voting Tim Freeman as our next Douglas County commissioner.
