ROSEBURG Conest to test women’s mettle Zonta Club of Roseburg will present the first Iron Woman Competition Sept. 29 in Douglas County. The event will benefit the club, which offers scholarships for mature women to return to school. Female participants will target shoot, golf, bowl, play horseshoes and run through an obstacle course. Women will compete in teams of two. The event is scheduled from 8:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will start and end at Melrose Vineyards, 885 Melqua Road, Roseburg.
