Myrtle Creek pair accused of burglarizing home, passing stolen checks

ROSEBURG Shoplifting probe leads to more The case against an alleged shoplifter at Sherm’s Thunderbird Market in Roseburg turned more serious early Saturday when Roseburg police discovered two stolen checks in his possession. James Eli Ferch, 31, of Myrtle Creek was detained by store security officers at about 12:09 a.m. on suspicion of stealing merchandise. Roseburg Officer Eric Schreiber searched Ferch and reported finding two blank checks that didn’t belong to the suspect. Police found Ferch’s girlfriend, 33-year-old Amber Rose Marie Watson, also of Myrtle Creek, in the parking lot and suspect they burglarized a Tri City home, where four …
