MYRTLE CREEK Man accused of sexual attack A 48-year-old Myrtle Creek man was arrested Friday for the attempted rape of a woman a week earlier. Elton Lewis Warner was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Jail in Roseburg after being interviewed by police. He was accused of first-degree sex abuse, first-degree attempted rape and sexual penetration with an object. A 28-year-old woman reported she was attacked and sexually assaulted Oct. 19 by a stranger in the 500 block of Western Street. Warner remained in jail this morning on $875,000 bail. …
