Drain tentatively supports transit vote

DRAIN — U-Trans has tentatively secured more support for holding a public vote on forming a Douglas County transit district. The Drain City Council on Tuesday moved toward becoming the ninth city to endorse a vote in May, an election that county commissioners will have to set. Drain Mayor Suzanne Anderson and the two councilors at a regular council meeting indicated support for a resolution calling for a vote.
