ROSEBURG Blues blossom from Flower Portland-based guitarists Mary Flower will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at First Presbyterian Church, 823 S.E. Lane Ave., Roseburg. Flower blends ragtime, acoustic blues and folk styles with intricate syncopated finger picking and blues-inspired lap-slide guitar. Musician Anne Weiss will join the performance. Weiss performs tunes that combine contemporary folk, blues, funk and gospel with smatterings of classical phrasing and Latin rhythm. Flower will play pieces from her recent release, “Misery Loves Company,” which features duets with fellow blues instrumentalists.
