The Volunteer Foundation of Douglas County’s newest board member is no stranger to volunteering. Ron Singler, 77, of Roseburg worked at many elementary schools around the county before retiring in 1993. He remains active in organizations throughout Roseburg. He recently joined the Volunteer Foundation of Douglas County, which coordinates the Foster Grandparent program, the Senior Companion program and the RSVP program.
