As Roseburg native Cameron Zegers travels the world taking pictures, she often finds a stranger’s eyes the most striking part of an image. Portraits provide insight into cultures and allow a photographer to tell stories about places, she said. “People naturally gravitate toward those photos because seeing someone from a different culture is really interesting,” said the 28-year-old, who has photographed people from many cultures during her travels through Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Alaska, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest.
