Roseburg police wrestle suspect to the ground

A 21-year-old man was wrestled to the ground after he struck an officer shortly before midnight Tuesday in the 1400 block of Northeast Stephens Street, Roseburg police said. Shaun Andrew Currin, a transient, was a passenger in a car that was pulled over by police. Currin became upset after the driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and hit an officer in the hand, police said. Police say they found a small amount of marijuana on Currin after he was taken into custody. Currin was booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of harassment, resisting arrest and unlawful …
