Woman must repay $50,000 she stole from Oakland grandmother

A Lane County woman has five years to pay back nearly $50,000 she stole from her Oakland grandmother while entrusted as her caregiver. At Kimberly Anne Seekins’ sentencing Wednesday in Douglas County Circuit Court, a judge honored the grandmother’s request that Seekins, 25, avoid prison, but gave the granddaughter 60 months of probation with a special condition that she finish repaying the full amount before the term is up.
