Power outage in Roseburg delays newspaper

A mid-morning power outage caused the lights to go out in downtown Roseburg and caused delays in delivery of today’s The News-Review. Power was disrupted for 5,700 Roseburg area customers at about 10:35 a.m., with power restored to most customers about an hour later. The Portland-based utility reported service to all addresses was restored by 11:57 a.m. The outage was caused by an equipment failure at a substation off Diamond Lake Boulevard. Electricity from that substation serves east, central and south Roseburg. The outage knocked out power to The News-Review at 345 N.E. Winchester St., causing a delay in printing …
