ROSEBURG Museum aims exhibit at guns The Douglas County Museum Saturday opened a new exhibit featuring its collection of rare gun collections. The display includes a collection of firearms from the pioneering Cowan family, which settled in the Yoncalla area in the 1840s. Also on exhibit is part of the collection of Gus and Hazel Peret, who also were Yoncalla residents. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
