Douglas County sheriff’s deputy arrests burglary suspect

An 18-year-old man suspected in a residential burglary was arrested early today after a brief scuffle with a Douglas County sheriff’s deputy. Jeffrey Michael Beck, who gave deputies no permanent address, was booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary, second-degree theft, resisting arrest and violating parole. He’s being held without bail. At about 4 a.m., a homeowner in the 1000 block of Arcadia Drive, off Garden Valley Road, reported being awoken by his dog barking and a knock on the front door.
