WINCHESTER — The Umpqua Community College men’s basketball team kept its slim playoff hopes alive Wednesday night, getting an impressive all-around performance from Jared Knox. Knox, a 6-foot-3 sophomore wing out of North Medford High, wasn’t far off a triple-double with 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists as the Riverhawks defeated Linn-Benton 79-67 in a Southern Region game in the UCC gym.
