A lockdown on South Umpqua schools this morning has been lifted and a suspect who allegedly made threats on social media is in custody. Wesley William Snyder, 22, of Myrtle Creek was arrested after a brief struggle at his house in the 300 block of South Pacific Highaway at about 10:30 a.m., according to sheriff’s office spokesman Dwes Hutson. Snyder had allegedly posted the threats on his Facebook page. South Umpqua School District schools were locked down today beginning at 8:30 a.m., and police and sheriff’s deputies beefed up patrols around the school.
