NEWPORT — A newly combined state park on the Oregon Coast has been named after a Roseburg native who served for many years on the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission and was its first chairman. Ona Beach State Park and the adjacent Beaver Creek State Natural Area eight miles south of Newport are now known as Brian Booth State Park.
