Allan made his transition on July 13, 2018.

He was born at Adolphus Batterie, Fort George, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, C.I., U.K.

At the age of seven he was evacuated from his home with the other students at his school and billeted in the north of England as the Nazis occupied the Channel Islands. After the war his family immigrated to the United States. Allan was 16 years old at that time and was delighted to find that at the high schools in the U.S. there were girls.

Allan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeannine D. Romeril; his two much loved daughters, Margaret Romeril of Lexington, KY, and Barb Clifford of Highlands Ranch, CO. He also had two grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan Clifford.

Allan was an active member of St. George Episcopal Church and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018, at St. George Church.
