Edith Ann McClendon went to be with our lord on Sunday, June 4th, 2017. She was born November 19, 1944, to Frank and Mary Wilson in Litchfield, Illinois.

Edith grew up in Long Beach, California, where she met and married the love of her life, Jim A. McClendon. They moved to Roseburg, Oregon, in 1964. There, they lived for 10 years before settling in Riddle, Oregon, where they raised their two children. Edith was known as Mom or Grandma to many. She served her community in many ways, from working for various businesses to serving on the Riddle Fire Board. But her passion was as the owner and operator of the Pantry, where she never let a person walk away hungry or denied someone a meal. She never knew a stranger, and welcomed everyone she met with open arms.

She is survived by her husband, Jim A. McClendon; son, Shawn McClendon and fiancé Heather; son, Joel Baker and family; daughter, Thea A. Duncan and husband Raymond Duncan Jr.; grandchildren, Blake McClendon, Toni Bakke and husband Mike, Tosha Agee and husband Davin, Roby Duncan and fiancé Amy, and Tyler Snelling; great-grandchildren, Colton Agee, Elizabeth Bakke, Hannah Bakke, Madison Bakke, Payten Agee, Bruce Agee; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in August of 2017.

We will always love you.
