Toni Stanton, age 95, died unexpectedly May 4, 2018, in Roseburg, Oregon. She was born November 27, 1922, in El Paso, Texas, to Douglas and Lois Maples.

She graduated from Deming High School in 1939, and met the love of her life and future husband, Robert Stanton, in Seward, Alaska. They were married on December 18, 1942, and lived in Seward while raising their family. In 1975, they moved to Springfield, Oregon, on the McKenzie River, and later to Bellingham, WA. In 2014, they relocated to Roseburg to be near their children.

Toni was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, golf, bowling, water skiing, snow skiing, reading, music, bingo, pinochle, and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Robert Stanton, Jr. (Charlene); daughter, Sharon (Jon) Comstock; son, Doug (Marianne) Stanton; daughter, Michelle (Sam) Long; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Robert J. Stanton III in 1991, and by her sister, Faye Maples, in 1991.

At her request, there will be no service. A family gathering will be held at a later date. She will be interred at the National Veteran's Cemetery in Roseburg, Oregon.
