Jane Ellen Minning was born October 31st, 1935, in the tiny farming community of Magnolia, Iowa, in the depths of the Great Depression. Jane and her family moved to California when she was 13, becoming Miss Teen Pasadena at age 15. She lovingly raised her four children while working and attending college to become a registered nurse, finally retiring after 20 years at Sonoma State Hospital. Jane Married Troy Minning in 1986, sharing their lives together for the next 30 years until Troy’s passing in May of 2016.

Jane was a devoted Christian and passed peacefully at home with family and her best friend at hand on Friday, April 14th, 2017, succumbing to acute leukemia.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Troy Minning; her father, William Glennie; and mother, Evelyn Glennie; brothers, William Glennie Jr. and John Glennie; and sister, Mary Glennie.

Jane is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Taylor and Laura Christopherson; her sons, Randy Pickinpaugh and David Christopherson; grandsons, Jason Benedict and David Benedict; Jane’s sisters, Joan Capurro and Carrolyn Bolin; and her brother, Glen Burford.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. this Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Wellspring Bible Fellowship at 4245 NW Kline St. in Roseburg.
