Of Winston, Oregon, passed away gracefully on the morning of Sunday, October 9, 2016, at the age of 70. She was born in Bremerton, Washington, to parents, May (Moore) Marangi and Max Marangi, who was a career Marine.

Janice met Ron Addis while he was serving in the United States Navy. They were united in marriage on August 9, 1969, and later moved to the Winston, Oregon area. Janice attended and graduated from U.C.C. with an Early Childhood Education degree. She worked as a teacher's aide for St. Joseph's Catholic School and the Cobb Street School in Roseburg. Janice was an active member of the community including, Beta Sigma Phi. She was involved in the local Special Olympics and has been a long time member of the Winston Church of Nazarene. She enjoyed walking and watching football, as well as being a huge fan of the University of Oregon Ducks.

She is survived by her brother, Greg Marangi; and her daughters and son, Janelle Addis of Myrtle Creek, Janette Carstensen of Winston, and Rick Addis of Myrtle Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Susan Marangi and her husband Ron.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Winston Church of Nazarene with Pastor Cheryl Colby officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor's Family Chapel.
