JoAnn passed away November 2, 2017, due to complications of Alzheimer. She was born in Lebanon, Oregon, on October 1, 1934, as a twin, to Bessie (Jones) and James E. Ray. She was one of 12 children.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 63 years, Archie; children, Doyle of Springfield, CO, Lindie (Lee) Champ of Roseburg, Cindy (Dan) Adair of Dillard, Connie (Keith) Higgins of Puyallup, WA, and Ron of Lakewood, WA; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Kenneth Ray of North Logan, Utah, and Gilbert (Mary) Ray of Keizer; and twin sister, JuliAnn Tate of Salem; and Sandra Downey of Salem.

She was a current member of UMCI Motorcycle Club. Along with her husband, they had been members in several different motorcycle clubs throughout her life. She had travelled many miles on a motorcycle enjoying the country, the camping in their travels, and the many people and new friends she met along the way.

Her great joys were her grandkids, her gardening, grapes, and rosebushes.

She will be greatly missed by all those she has left behind.

There will be no services.
