Joseph Niel Clement, 91, of Central Point, Oregon went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2018 at his home. Joe was born February 9, 1927 in Wonder, Oregon to Joseph Lee and Merle (Cart) Clement. He grew up in Wonder, Oregon and graduated from Grants Pass High School. On September 24, 1948 he married “the love of his life,” the beautiful Eva Mae Bagwell in Wilderville, Oregon. Together they raised 3 daughters and one son. Joe and Eva lived in the Grants Pass area until moving to Roseburg, Oregon in 1959 where they lived until 1975 when they moved to Post Falls, Idaho. He worked in the timber industry, and in 1992 he retired from Potlatch Industries where he was a plant supervisor. In that year they moved back to Applegate, Oregon where they were members of the Applegate Community Church. Joe had a passion for his Lord and his family. He also enjoyed walking, camping, reading, music and spending time with his family. Joe served in the US Navy during both World War II and the Korean War.

Joe is survived by three daughters and one son: Edie Preston (Tenmile, OR), Shirley Collins (Medford, OR), Mary Zimmerman (Williams, OR), and Thomas Clement (Post Falls, ID). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and two sisters, Virginia Fry and Evelyn Wittenmyer.

Joe was proceeded in death by Eva, his dear wife of 66 years, brother Harold Clement and sister Dorothy Petty.

A memorial service will be March 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Applegate Community Church, Applegate, Oregon.
