Margaret Jones of Bridgewood Rivers Assisted Living Home passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Margaret was born on April 27, 1917, to Bertha and Ernest Lowrey in Boswell, Okla.

In 1935, she married Jack Jones in Anadarko, Okla.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jack; her sons, Ernie, Phil and Floyd; daughter, Virginia Koogler; and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Angel Lea. She is survived by a son, Jackie Don Jones of Talent, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 40 great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret and Jack moved to Oregon in 1952; he was killed in a logging accident in 1956, at Myrtle Point, Oregon, where they lived. Soon after, Margaret moved to the Roseburg-Winston area, and continued to live there the rest of her life.

There was a big celebration in April for Margaret’s 100th birthday. She had family attending from many states. She continued to live for another six months.

Margaret will be honored with a graveside service on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Melrose Cemetery.
