Raymond W. Carey, Jr. died October 19, 2018, in California. He was born in Leverett, MA, January 8, 1941, the son of Raymond W. Carey, Sr. and Gertrude Maynard.

Ray graduated from New Salem Academy, Shutesbury, MA, in 1958. Ray was a machinist by trade, working for Starrett Tools, MA, Emerson Electric, AZ, and Con-Vey Keystone, Roseburg, OR.

Ray was an active sports person; playing baseball, bowling and his favorite, golf his whole life. His favorite teams: NE Patriots, Red Socks, Oregon Ducks, and Portland Trailblazers.

Ray leaves his wife Betty, of 44 years; daughter, Annette of NH; son, Raymond III of AZ; stepson, Bruce of OR; step-daughters, Tricia and Sally of AZ; three brothers, Gerald MA, Doug (decd), Wayne NC; three sisters, Lois, MA, Margie, NY, and Lora, ME; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ray also left behind many close friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 30th, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Oak Hills Golf Club.
