I simply wanted to express my appreciation of a photograph taken by Michael Sullivan of your staff. This is the photograph of the Cliff Hanger he took at the Douglas County Fair. The picture is one of the best I have seen anywhere. It is beautifully composed, conveys an extraordinary sense of motion and energy, and has a captivating combination of geometric shape and color. Photographers likely do not get the kudos they deserve, and are more often seen as technicians rather than the artists they are, or at least can be. Thus, I wanted to take a moment to congratulate Mr. Sullivan on a fine work of photographic art. Fine work, Sir!

This paper should make sure they don't lose the photographers they have. I have seen some great photos from them. Sometimes a good photo will tell most of the story itself.

just me

when i saw the headlines i thought the photo would accompany the article. no such luck. who would have thought of such a thing

You should reprint that photo so we can all enjoy it again.
