Hey... I have a great idea. Let's do everything we can to waste taxpayer dollars.
Let's turn our beautiful green forests into ugly, grey wastelands. Let's kill our wildlife and then let the bugs infest the trees left standing after a fire. And let's make sure nobody uses the trees left after a fire. After all, we don't want to help any businesses out there. Especially the timber industry.
And for those who worry about health issues and "global warming," the smoke from these fires is not a problem for any of us; it has only been a slight inconvenience. I kind of like going outside and coughing.
I am so happy to see that the fires on the public lands can take weeks and even months to "contain," while fires that start on privately owned forests are "put out" quickly by those terrible, greedy landowners. Yep ... Those tax dollars provided from the timber industry for our schools are not really needed. It is much better spent "containing" fires.
