Two Roseburg musicians hope a national competition will be their ticket to ditching day jobs, becoming full-time performers and playing outside Douglas County. Joshua Esterline and Christopher Spangler comprise CHAMPIONship, one of 11 bands remaining in a “Baddest of the Bands” contest sponsored by media conglomerate Charter Communications.
