Roseburg downs Saxons in opener, 22-15

From the Roseburg High football team to its opponent and even down to the officials, angst was apparent when fall officially began Friday night at Finlay Field. Figuratively, there was no false start for the Indians. They defeated South Salem, 22-15, behind three experienced starters who bad been there before and a whole army of unproven others who had not. Literally, false-starting and other sloppy violations were rampant as the teams combined for 26 penalties.
