Cobras run away from Glide football team

GLIDE — Are the Wildcats for real? Not yet. Central Linn dropped Glide from the ranks of the unbeaten Friday night, rolling up 438 yards rushing in a 54-22 nonleague football rout at the Wildcats’ field. Sophomore Clay McClure ran for five touchdowns and Mark Lacoste carried the ball 13 times for 196 yards and two scores for the Cobras (4-1), a member of the Class 2A Tri-River Conference. 3A Glide (4-1), denied of its first 5-0 start since 2005, had no answer for Central Linn’s spin-T offense from the outset.
