Douglas win marred by ejections

TRI CITY — The Douglas High football team defeated South Umpqua for the sixth straight year, 53-14, but the win was clouded by four ejections Friday at Loghry Field. The Trojans (4-4 overall, 2-2 Far West League) broke the contest open with four touchdowns in the third quarter. Junior quarterback Jordan Shaffer completed 17 of 33 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns, and added a 1-yard scoring run for Douglas.
