RIDDLE — Danny Medak capped a monster weekend with 25 points and 13 rebounds, and the Umpqua Valley Christian boys basketball team defeated Riddle 57-38 Saturday to continue its perfect start to the season and win the Riddle Cow Creek Classic. Medak, a 6-foot-7 senior forward, averaged 26.5 points and 14 rebounds in two tournament games. Ian Graham had 12 points for the Monarchs, who improved to 3-0 overall. Seath Brown scored eight points for the Irish, who dropped to 3-1. The Irish play Thursday at Camas Valley while the Monarchs are off until a Dec. 18 game at Douglas. …
