Friday boys hoops: Reber, Collins lead red-hot Oakland

OAKLAND — If the Oakland boys basketball team didn’t prove it was for real with its blowout of Oakridge on Tuesday, its handling of Coquille on Friday at the Nut House ought to have done it. Colton Reber had 22 points, six assists, six steals and six rebounds as the Oakers controlled the Red Devils from start to finish of the 66-53 nonleague win, which bumped them up to No. 5 in the Class 2A power rankings.
