College Basketball: UCC teams beat Portland

WINCHESTER — Big-time mismatch. The sixth-ranked Umpqua women put Portland away early with fullcourt pressure and transition scoring as it sent the Panthers home with a 110-45 beatdown in a Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Southern Region basketball game on Saturday afternoon in the UCC gym. The win was the fourth straight for the Riverhawks (14-4, 4-1 South), who moved into a tie for second place in the league race.
