COQUILLE — Elle Rappe and Shelby Thompson didn’t break into the scoring column, but that didn’t stop the Glide juniors from helping the Wildcats lock up a spot in the Class 3A girls basketball playoffs. One game after Coquille’s Taylor GeDeros put up 39 points, Rappe and Thompson locked her up in a box-and-1 defense and Glide won 38-30 to break a first-place tie with the Red Devils in the Sunset Hybrid League.
