Prep Basketball: Roseburg boys let South Medford slip away again

Haunted by late-game follies for the better part of a season, the Roseburg High boys basketball team again could not save itself from itself on Friday night. The cost, this time, was especially steep: The Indians were forced to watch coach Dennis Murphy and his ninth-ranked South Medford Panthers prance around the Robertson Memorial Gym floor and celebrate another league title. The Panthers (17-4 overall, 8-1 league), with a little help from Roseburg, scored the last six points of their 46-42 win, which helped them lock up at least a share of the Southern Oregon Hybrid championship with three chances …
