Softball Roundup: North Douglas knocks off Glide

GLIDE — Kelcee Frieze and the North Douglas Warriors were able to generate some momentum in the minimal time before their Special District 2 softball opener. Frieze pitched a complete game, tripled, doubled and had two RBIs in the Warriors’ 10-5 win at Glide on Saturday. The victory evened their record at 1-1 before Tuesday’s league-opening game at Oakland, which is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Bella Mast and Alley Burruss also had three hits apiece, helping North Douglas accumulate 11 as a team.
